Buck Trent - that "Oh, yeah!" guy - brought the electric banjo to the limelight. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he came to Nashville in 1959 to play with Bill Carlisle. In the early 1960's he joined Porter Wagoner and the Wagonmasters. After leaving Wagoner's band, Buck performed with Roy Clark and was part of the Hee Haw cast from 1975 until 1982. His morning performances in Nashville became a tradition that he took with him to Branson, MO in the 1980's. He moved to Branson in 1990 and currently performs the Buck Trent Breakfast Show at the Grand Country Music Hall on the Hwy 76 Strip.
