The Hee Haw Tribute Page is saddened to report the passing of Hurshel Wiginton, 79, of the Nashville Edition on March 5, 2017.  After years of failing health, Hurshel is now singing bass in the Heavenly choir.  He is survived by three daughters, a son, two grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and three siblings.  Here is a link to the Tennessean article about his life and passing.

Also, we continue to remember Sam Lovullo.  "Mr. Sam" was the producer of Hee Haw for the entire run of the show.  He also acted as casting director and wrote the book "Life in the Kornfield; My 25 Years at Hee Haw," which has been a large source of information for this website.  Sam Lovullo was 88 years old when he passed away on January 3, 2017.  This link is to the CMT press release, and this link will take you to the RFD-TV announcement.  He is survived by a son, Torey, and several grandchildren.

This photo of Sam flanked by Lulu and Cathy Baker was posted on Lulu Roman's Facebook page.
